Hastelloy X For Gas Turbine Combustor
Hastelloy X is an nickel-based alloy containing 47.5% Nickel, 22% Chromium and 18.5% Iron, with small amounts of Cobalt, Molybdenum and Tungsten for excellent resistance to oxidation at elevated temperatures. After solid solution strengthened, offering outstanding strength at high temperatures. It has great high temperature and stress rupture characteristics above 790℃. It is suitable for used in applications at temperature limits about 1200℃.
Hastelloy X has widely use in gas turbine engines for combustion zone components such as transition duct, combustor cans, spray bars and flame holders as well as in after burners, turbine blades, nozzle vanes, cabin heaters, and other aircraft parts.

Besides, Hastelloy X is recommended especially for used in furnace applications because it has unusual resistance to oxidizing, reducing, and neutral atmospheres. Furnace rolls made of this alloy were still in good condition after operating for 8700 hours at 1170℃. Furnace trays, used to support heavy loads, have been exposed to temperatures up to 1260℃ in an oxidizing atmosphere without bending or warping.
Hastelloy X is also used in the chemical process industry for retorts, muffles, catalyst support grids, furnace baffles, tubing for pyrolysis operations and flash drier components.
