Project Description
6J8
Manganese copper is a resistance alloy with copper, manganese and nickel as its main components. It has high resistivity, small temperature coefficient of resistance, low thermoelectric potential of copper and excellent long-term stability of resistance. It is a kind of superior precise resistance material. It is mainly used to make standard resistors, shunts, precise or ordinary resistors, etc.

Feature
The alloy is characterized by very low thermal electromotive force (emf) compared to copper.
Application
Manganin strip and wire is used in the manufacture of resistor, Particularly ammeter shunt, because of its virtually zero temperature coefficient of resistance value and long term stability.
