Nitronic 50 (XM-19/UNS S20910/1.3964)
Nitronic 50 (XM-19/UNS S20910/1.3964) is a high strength and good corrosion resistant austenitic stainless steel. It has nearly double the yield strength of 304 and 316 stainless steel and has better corrosion resistance than 317L stainless steel. It remains non-magnetic even after being severely cold worked. It maintains strength at high temperatures as well as sub-zero temperatures.

Applications
Nitronic 50 is an effective alloy for the petroleum, offshore, subsea, petrochemical, chemical, fertilizer, nuclear fuel recycling, pulp and paper, textile, food processing and marine industries. Components using the combination of excellent corrosion resistance and high strength currently include pumps, valves and fittings, fasteners, cables, chains, marine hardware, boat and valves shafting, heat exchanger parts, and springs. Nitronic 50 is especially suitable for cryogenic application thanks to its excellent impact strength at -196℃.
